Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Suki Moon, operated by Mumora Media LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, collects when you visit sukimoon.com or place an order, how we use it, whom we share it with and which choices you have. We wrote it for the store as it actually runs today.
1. Information we collect
Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, telephone number if you provide one, the items you ordered and the payment method you used. Payment details such as card numbers are entered on the secure checkout pages of our payment providers and are not stored by us.
Contact information. When you write to us by email or through the contact form we keep your message, your name and your email address so that we can answer and keep a record of the conversation.
Account information. If you create a customer account we store your name, email address, addresses and order history.
Device and usage information. When you browse the store, our platform provider Shopify automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. This information is used to run the store securely and to understand how it is used.
2. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping confirmations and provide tracking.
- To handle returns, exchanges, refunds and questions.
- To detect and prevent fraud and to protect the security of the store.
- To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules.
- To improve the store based on how it is used.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The store is hosted on Shopify, which uses cookies that are necessary to run the store, for example to keep items in your cart and to secure the checkout, and cookies used for site analytics and performance. Where the platform shows a cookie consent banner, you can accept, decline or manage your preferences there. We do not run additional advertising or analytics scripts of our own beyond the Shopify platform at this time. If we add such services in the future, we will update this policy before they go live.
4. Whom we share information with
Shopify. Our store runs on Shopify, which hosts the store, processes orders and stores your data on our behalf. Shopify's privacy practices are described at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Payment providers. The payment providers available at checkout receive the information needed to process your payment.
Fulfillment and shipping. Our fulfillment partner and the carriers receive your name, shipping address, telephone number if provided and the order contents in order to pack and deliver your parcel. The order tracking page is provided by the Parcel Panel app, which receives your order number and tracking data to show the delivery status.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, a court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights and the safety of our customers.
5. How long we keep information
Order information is kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and meet legal record-keeping obligations, which in the United States typically means up to 7 years for accounting records. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time which personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention obligations. Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you want us to limit how your data is shared with our service providers, write to us and we will confirm what we have done. To exercise any right, write to info@sukimoon.com. We respond within the timeframe required by the applicable law and we do not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
7. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you have opted in. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. Order-related emails, such as confirmations and shipping updates, are sent regardless because they are needed to fulfil your order.
8. Security
The store uses HTTPS encryption for every page, and payments are processed on secure checkout pages. We limit access to personal information to the people and providers who need it to run the store.
9. Children
The store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
The store serves customers in the United States and data is processed in the United States through Shopify's infrastructure. If you visit from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version is always published on this page with the changes reflected in the text.
12. Personal information categories
The categories we handle are: identifiers such as name, email address, shipping and billing address and telephone number if you give us one; commercial information such as the items you ordered, order value and return or exchange history; internet activity such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address; and payment information, which is processed by the payment provider and is never stored in full on our side. We collect these categories from you directly, from your use of the store and from our service providers.
13. How to make a privacy request
Send your request to info@sukimoon.com with the email address you used for your order, and state what you want: a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion or information about our sharing practices. We answer within the period the applicable law allows and we will tell you if we need more time. To protect your data we confirm your identity first: we match the request against the order details we hold and may ask for one further detail from your order, for example the order number. An authorised agent may act for you if you confirm the mandate in writing.
